The few minutes you’ll spend setting up your Google Profile page is one of those ideas that will pay you back many times. CAUTION: Get YOUR name/company name before someone else snags it.

For example, here is the Google profile I created for my site SocialMarketingExpert.org . (My Google profile can be found at http://www.google.com/profiles/SOCIALMARKETINGEXPERT )
It took all of 15 minutes to make from scratch. I included a screen shot for you to notice how easy it is to use to promote your other sites/services. 

Make sure to include images. Make some up and upload them to Picasso or Flickr. Only thing about using Flickr is making sure the images you have are the ones you want displayed. I had to eliminate some that were displaying since they had nothing to do with the profile (hint…hint… Google, wish we could pick-n-choose our pictures.) 

Just how effective they are in bringing traffic to the sites are too soon to tell. But I will let you know when I get a better handle on Google Profile’s SEO listings.

My suggestion? In the meantime, since its free and its Google, what do you have to loose?
